There are many ways to Communicate with Nature
There are as many way to communicate with nature as blades of grass in a meadow or stars in the night sky.
The real joy is discovering just how it works for you, and we can only find that out experientially. When one focuses ones intention and tries to make contact, the beings around us feel this and respond in their own special way.
Working in groups together with like minded people may also be very helpful. When a participant reveals their own unique way, this may well help others in the company to find and create their own way.
Facilitating communication between the beings of the various realms of life that surround us brings great pleasure as when the contact occurs the joy both parties feel is spontaneous and contagious. Our innocent childlike imagination, no matter what shape or form that takes, acts as a universal translator. This enables, with practise, very accurate and detailed conversations to be enjoyed.
Different people have leanings towards their favourite areas, some like to commune with plants, herbs and flowers. Others like the trees, some are fascinated with birds, or animals, both domesticated or wild. Then we have the creatures that live in the water, or the insects that live in a variety of habitats. Some are drawn to the elemental beings, that dwell in the very fabric of our world, in the water, the air, the earth and the fire. While others like to commune with landscape beings, such as rivers, clouds, mountains, winds and valley's...... The infinite diversity holds wonders for all who delve deeper into Nature.
The best starting point for this work is with the plants, and the Trees are the excellent teachers with great wisdom accumulated over centuries and even thousands of years in some cases. Nikki Darrell of Veriditas Hibernica has been working with the plants for many years and leads this area of teaching in our Nature events and courses. The plants are wonderful healers on all levels, wise elders and gentle teachers who help us to remember who we are, being true alchemists they make medicines that help us to heal physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. They also guide us in learning to communicate with all the other beings in Nature. Veriditas Hibernica offers courses from Introductory to Apprenticeships in Community Herbal Medicine, and Clinical Practitioner Training. (in conjunction with Colaiste Luibheanna, graduates may register with The Irish Register of Herbalists)
